"The black guy" is indeed singing in Punjabi. "Gave my heart to one who doesn't care" would be a close approximation in English of what he says. Completely in line with Anastacia's cri de coeur. (Interestingly, there's a lot of "unrequited love" in Urdu/Punjabi poetry. Look up and read some "ghazals" by Ghalib or Mir... poignant and bittersweet verse.)
