This is the life i lead
these are the steps i take

let me warmly welcome you here tonight
take a seat and let me tell you of my life
i'm a bard, a minstrel with a cause
to sing a song of grace and love to young and old

this is the life i lead
this is my call
following his voice
his plans unfold
these are the steps i take
i give my all
held in his hand of grace

let me welcome you here to my stage
i'll put these different parts of me out on display
come and share in tales and truths of old
hear the wondrous news of jesus, son of god

not alone, i face this open road
his hand of grace in mine, and i'm not letting go
